Join our team in Embarcadero Iasi office as System Administrator in order to develop, maintain and manage the network systems and servers and other equipments. System Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable operation of critical enterprise applications, databases and network connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all software and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible of keeping in optimal parameters the infrastructure required for Embarcadero Romania operations;
• Provide helpdesk support for our staff
• Manage and administrate all operating systems and their corresponding or associated software.
• Maintains databases for enterprise applications.
• Manage communications and connection solutions, including local area networks, intranet (SVN, Perforce, Jira and Confluence) and Internet applications.
• Deploy and maintain firewalls, cryptography systems, and all host security activities.
• Analyze system or application usage and plan for growth or increases in network, database, or system capacity.
• Perform network and security audits.
• Perform system backups.
• Provide on-call technical support.
• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
• Maintain servers and systems (Windows, Linux and Mac)
• Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions and access rights.
• Procurement, delivery and installation of hardware (PC, Mac, different servers).
• Research, select an design solutions that will meet company needs
• Help administrative department in tasks regarding purchasing infrastructure.
• Vendor liaison - making sure that equipment is shipped or delivered on time according to requirements. Deals with warranty issues.

Cerinte:

Requirements:

• University degree and a minimum of 2 years equivalent relevant work experience.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows server (2003/2008) configuration maintenance and management.
• Experience with Cisco equipment required, certification is considered a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange is required.
• Knowledge of any other OS (especially Linux and Mac) is considered a plus.
• Certifications in database and Networking are considered a plus.
• Working technical knowledge of network, databases, PC, and platform operating systems.
• Good knowledge of VMware products, VoIP (Evolution PBX) and SVN
• Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills (English and Romanian) are a must.
• Ability to conduct research into software issues and products as required.
• Ability to present ideas and solutions in user-friendly language.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
