We are looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of
SAP ENGINEER (certified in SAP – various modules)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1) Material Classification:
Responsible for reviewing and extracting the required technical data presented
on SPF/SPIR for required materials (by referring to technical drawing,
manufacturers catalogue, data sheets and Materials certificates) to form an
accurate and comprehensive technical purchasing specification based on the
materials specification and the working principle.
2) Data population in Material Module (MM) (Manually / Electronically)
2.1) Material Master (Manual):
Responsible for creating the Material Master by choosing ALL the Views
– Typically this would be Basic Data 1&2,
Classification (as above), Sales Org 1&2, Sales General/Plant Data,
Purchasing, PO Text, MRP 1, 2, 3&4, Plant Data/Storage 1&2,
Warehouse 1&2, Quality Management, Accounting 1&2, Plant Stock and
Storage Location Stock.
Working Guideline shall be provided by QP to create Material Master
Record and classification to complete purchasing specification.
2.2) Material Master (Electronically):
Complete the Excel Spreadsheet in accordance with given guideline and
return the sheet back to MMDG for processing. After uploading the file in
SAP, file will then be returned to the CONTRACTOR complete with SAP
numbers to complete the Classification (as above).
3) Responsible for identifying the items where sufficient technical specification is
available and promoting the Generalization (Generic nature of items such
bearing, V-Belt, Gasket, Valves, Flanges, Stud Bolt etc) without detrimental
technical impact.
4) Responsible to run MIDD software for maintaining the Short Description and
Purchase Order Text through MIDD functionalities on daily basis for completed
SERVICES.
5) Responsible for identifying similar classes and propose for rationalization
wherever applicable. In addition, CONTRACTOR shall conduct a review on the
already established template for any specific class and propose rearrangement
and amendment wherever necessary.
6) Responsible for obtaining any additional data required via MMDG supervisor to
complete the cataloguing SERVICES.
7) Responsible for rationalizing the data in each class by standardizing the entries,
adding the approved values under each characteristic (CHAR), restricting the
CHAR from entering the unapproved valves.
8) Responsible for reviewing given classes to clean up data, eliminating
duplicates, populating missing data and reassigning incorrect assigned item to
correct class.
9) Responsible for reviewing similar classes for rationalization and setting the
Hierarchy.
10) Responsible for creating Storage Bin, Info Records and Hazardous Master, as
when required by QP.
11) Responsibilities of CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL Supervisor:
11.1) Supervisor shall monitor:
- Daily output from CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL
- Conduct QA/QC as per agreed norms
- Stipulated by MMDG for new items.
(Working guideline shall be provided by QP).
11.2) For re-classification, check SAP Data and compare it with legacy data
using legacy system CMT and EMA (Primarily CMT backed by EMA if
necessary) to ensure data transfer was correct.
11.3) Prepare a report on daily basis containing the following and present it to
MMDG supervisor:
I) Number and type of anomalies.
II) Number of new items created.
III) Number of existing items data updated or enhanced.
IV) Number of items found duplicate.
V) Number of items required additional technical data and queries
raised.
VI) Any other report agreed with QP REPRESENTATIVE.

STUDIES
University graduation technological and science discipline.
LANGUAGE
English commercial level is mandatory
