Under supervision, the Safety and Security Specialist contributes to the safety and security of the Client’s EMEA facilities by enforcing safety regulations, acting as the Safety Coordinator, monitoring the fire alarms, CCTV systems and administering the access control systems. The position requires limited travel within Europe. The client has 33 locations across the EMEA region.
Cerinte DUTIES BY CATEGORY
Reports to the Regional Safety and Security Manager and acts as liaison with local personnel in all areas of safety and security such as site safety audits and program maintenance, training and awareness and any other duties as assigned.
HEALTH AND SAFETY – FIRE & FIRST AID (Supported by H&S Consultant and Company Doctor following to Romanian Labor Laws)
• Understanding of the requirements of both European and Local Country Health and Safety Regulations
• As Safety Coordinator advises personnel on all aspects of the Client safety policy and ensures the Client office space is compliant with Health & Safety regulations
• Train personnel on safety policies
• Conduct detailed site Safety Audits for all properties within the Client’s Europe portfolio, prepare separate audit reports for each site with recommendations to rectify any problems/concerns encountered
• Shall ensure that the following policies and procedures are in continuous compliance:
o Emergency Procedures
o Accident and dangerous occurrence reporting procedures
o Audit report formats
o Health and Safety Policy
o Health and Safety Policy Statement
o Major disaster procedures/planning
• Installs, maintains and upgrades internal computer hardware and software systems in support of Client’s safety and security needs
• Proposes and implements system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the systems
• Monitors usage and performance of systems and ensures compliance with established standards
• Provides security systems support to facilities project teams for office construction and moves to include system design, vendor coordination and testing
• All standard H&S notices are up to date on every notice board
• Fire Evacuation list of staff per floor (update with starters & leavers weekly)
• Fire Extinguishers, where on site (on spreadsheet)
• Fire Warden Training, lists on spreadsheets monthly who is in building/floor – Keep lists updated on all notice boards and arrange any necessary training
• First Aid - Organizing Training, updating and checking first aid boxes are with regular standard and placing necessary orders
• First Aiders - Keep lists of who first aiders are updated and on notice boards
• Coordinate and carry out DSE assessments for staff on an as required basis
• Organize DSE goods if required (hand or feet rest etc.)
• Alarm testing monthly spreadsheet
• Risk Assessments (H & S) individual - liaison with global health and safety manager and consultants when required.
SECURITY
• Provides security systems support to facilities project teams for office construction and moves to include system design, vendor coordination and testing
• Troubleshoots excessive alarms and coordinates repairs with vendors as needed
• Provides support to internal customers world wide
• Provide security support during emergency and non emergency situations
• Coordinate service requests and maintenance with system vendors, ensure prompt action is taken, and follow up on all pending issues
• Liaise with front desk contact on site, where appropriate, are any issues needing noted on the site, messages left by staff or if contractors working on site etc
• Access passes control/schedule and monitor
• Site car parking – Make sure car reg. list is up to date
• Check and list all contracts up and running and when termination is ready for letters to go out
• Take photo for badge, order badge from US

• May also be assigned similar duties for other areas outside of the EMEA region as needed
