ARTS PROJECT MANAGER

British Council Romania is looking for a creative and proactive Project Manager with knowledge of or exposure to the area of Arts.
The role of this job is to manage and ensure the delivery of the assigned projects in order to reach the regional agreed impact.

The position is being offered on the basis of a fixed term two years contract.

Closing date for applications: 23 April, 18.00 hrs.
Short-listed candidates will be contacted by 27 April. The interviews will take place between 28-29 April.

Main Responsibilities:

 Participating in planning of the regional/global projects by providing analysis of the local environment and on the impact achieved if the projects are to be implemented in Romania;
 Evaluating and planning resources involved into the projects so that the objectives are met within the allocated budget;
 Managing the projects so that they meet the impact objectives and are evaluated positively by key stakeholders;
 Identifying partnership and co-funding opportunities;
 Working closely with the Marketing& Communication team to promote the projects effectively to internal and external stakeholder and wider audiences;
 Monitoring and evaluating the success of the project in Romania in meeting its stated targets;

Strong understanding of the arts sector is essential.

 Creativity;
 Excellent organizational, planning and analytical skills;
 Multi-tasking ability (working on more projects at the same time);
 Excellent problem-solving skills; able to formulate creative solutions to day-to-day problems;
 Ability to work to tight deadlines
 High level of interpersonal skills and ability to relate effectively to people with a broad range of educational and cultural backgrounds
 Good team player
 Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Romanian
