The NOC / IT provides is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and new setup of all company servers, network equipments, pc’s, laptops, printers, local software and ancillary equipment.
Job location: Amsterdam.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot network hardware, router, switches, servers, load balancer, and peripheral devices other products along with associated software products.
- Set up and maintain linux and windows servers including racking and wiring of network equipments at Data Center
- Install and Apply patches for updates to existing servers
- Monitor company wide network of websites and game servers, network equipments
- Maintain Inventory Assets and Asset Tagging both Software/Hardware products
- Responsible for the Purchasing of IT Equipments (Desktops/Servers/Network Equipments)
- Management of Backups of Data from IDC locations and local intranet servers including disaster recovery
- Process standard equipment requests
• Liaise with and provide basic training and support to end users and staff on equipment operation and other issues.
• Maintain and support MS Windows clients and Exchange Server including Active Directory
• Manage creation of new hire accounts and ensure provided documentation addresses all their needs.
• Improve current Help Desk processes/procedures to match needs of growing company.
• Installation/Maintenance of Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Servers (Windows/Linux) at Corporate Office/Data Center locations and Game Server Maintenance/Patches
• Other special projects as assigned within the Engineering Team including but not limited (Web Software QA, CDN Management, SVN)
Cerinte • 2 years IDC (Data Center) and Networking experience
• BS in IT, CS, or related discipline
• 3+ years Linux and Windows Servers knowledge
• Unix/Linux programming languages for automation (Shell, PHP, PERL) + MySQL, LAMP technology
• Demonstrates strong customer service focus, problem solving and teamwork abilities.
• Prioritizes tasks effectively to complete deliverables on time.
• Ability to work closely with end users and understand their needs and requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and communications problems.
• Must be customer-oriented with attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, while maintaining a strong commitment to quality of work.
• Incumbent may be required to move or relocate computer equipment; incumbent must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
